I'm the composites fabrication lead for STC at NASA LaRC. I have completed the Core Spacetec certification last month. Would like to know when the composites specific certification testing will be offered. Also would like to know what it takes to become an onsite instructor i.e. degree, experience, etc..

Thanks

Good evening, and thanks for your note. Let me begin by congratulating you on your Core certification. That achievement makes you a part of a very elite group of less than 1,000 aerospace technicians who hold that credential today. More importantly, it qualifies you to move forward in your area of specialization, exactly as you have asked.

The short answer to your question is that the Composites Concentration is in the final stages of roll-out and should be ready within another month. However, responding to specific questions such as yours, especially regarding teaching, etc., is better left to a personal exchange. I recommend you contact our National Certification Manager, David Fricton, either by phone at 321.730.1020, or by email at frictond@brevardcc.edu for further information.

Thanks again for your interest and best wishes for your continued success in this most important area of professional development.
